What You’ll Learn in Our Tarzana Violin Lessons

Instrument Setup & Healthy Posture

Students learn how to properly hold the violin and bow with balanced posture that minimizes tension and supports ease of movement. Instruction focuses on natural alignment of the body, relaxed shoulders, and comfortable positioning of the arms and hands. Establishing healthy setup early helps prevent strain and supports long-term success on the instrument.

Bow Technique & Sound Development

Because the bow is the primary source of sound on the violin, lessons place strong emphasis on bow control. Students learn how bow speed, pressure, and placement affect tone quality. Through guided exercises, violinists develop smoother bow strokes, clearer articulation, and the ability to produce a consistent, pleasing sound.

Left-Hand Technique & Intonation
